Requirements :

A minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent qualification. No experience required. The candidate must have problem-solving skills, good interpersonal relations and sound communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and ability to perform routine tasks. Must be prepared to work night, weekends and public holidays. Previous experience in the Public Service will serve as added advantage.
Duties :
-
Cleaning of interior and exterior areas, e.g. cleaning bathrooms, showers, offices, wards, passages and waiting areas. Dust , wash, scrub and polish floors, windows, stairs, fire escapes, side walls, medical equipment, fridges and cleaning of spillages. Clean, mop, dust, empty bins and remove waste including medical waste while adhering to Health Care Waste Management policy. Demonstrate sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Infection and Prevention Control (IPC) principles and practices. Be prepared to rotate within the scope of work. Perform any other duties as delegated by Supervisors.

Candidates in possession of a foreign qualification will be required to furnish the Department with an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). HR will conduct Personnel Suitability Checks (PSC) and Verification Checks. The Department reserve the right to conduct verification beyond information provided, where necessary. Failure to submit all the relevant information mentioned above with the exception of HR verification checks, will result in the candidate being disqualify.
