Minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent qualification with no experience. Good physical condition. Prepare and be able to work on weekends, and public holidays. Must be able to read, write. Ability to communicate at all levels (good communication skills). Knowledge of OHS Act. Knowledge of operating garden equipment. Have interpersonal skills, Landscaping, horticulture, waste management, and maintenance. Experience in a hospital environment will be an added advantage. Preference will be given to Pretoria West residents.
Duties :
-
Perform routine activities in respect of buildings and grounds to include but not limited to: irrigation & watering of plants/ lawn, weeding, pruning and trimming of plants, cutting, seeding and mowing of lawns, disposing of organic waste, Perform general routine activities in respect of infrastructure such as maintaining road marking, cleaning signs and light fittings, sweeping driveways, unblocking of drains, empty and clean waste bins collection. Care for equipment e.g. cleaning, oiling and sharpening, loading / offloading furniture, Repair minor defects to furniture, equipment and gardening tools. Detect and report malfunctioning of gardening equipment and tools. Doing housekeeping of a garden equipment storage area to ensure that all tools and machinery are kept clean, organized, safe, and readily accessible, contributing to efficient and safe gardening operations. conducting a full inventory of tools, machinery, and consumables monthly. Perform all other duties delegated by Supervisor/Manager within scope of practice.
