Grade 12 with appropriate Diploma / Degree in Health Promotion or any equivalent qualification with five (05) years relevant experience of which three (3) years of the above experience must be at a supervisory level. A valid drivers’ license and computer literacy is essential. Sound interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Good management and supervisory skills. Ability to work independently and tight deadlines. Analytical Skills and be able to work in a team and with external stakeholders. Experience in Public Health environment will be an added advantage.
Duties :

Develop and implement an integrated Health Promotion strategy that empowers communities to improve control over their health. Ensure effective and efficient implementation of Health Promotion initiative in the district and identify priorities with all teams. Implement community based healthy lifestyle interventions to combat communicable and non – communicable disease. Implement and monitor the Health Promoting School , early learning centres/creche Initiative in collaboration with ISHP. Implement and monitor the Household Community Component of IMCI. Monitor progress and implementation of intensified fight against Maternal, and Child mortality, the spread of TB, HIV/ AIDS. Monitoring and participating in the gradual expansion of adoption of Healthy Lifestyles in Ekurhuleni. Outbreak response and Community engagement interventions. Support meetings in the district and Provincial office and provide feedback. Source IEC material, maintain a resource centre and disseminate IEC material. Implement the district health promotion plan. Work with private sector and organized labour to promote healthy lifestyle practices in the workplace and institutions of higher learning. Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Support programme coordinators in the district and monitor performance standards and indicators. Be able to work under pressure and support all activities of the district. Perform all other duties delegated by Supervisor/ Manager.
