Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Enrolled Nurse. Proof of current registration with SANC as Enrolled Nurse. Must be able to work within the ethical and legal framework that governs the profession. Driver’s licence is essential. Must have good communication, conflict management skills and be able to work within a team. Knowledge of PHC re-engineering, health promotion and community-based care will be an added advantage
Duties :
-
Lead and manage WBPHCOT within a defined health ward or catchment area. Supervise, mentor and monitor CHWs during household visits. Ensure referral and linkage between the community, PHC facilities and other relevant services. Collaborate with NGOs, social service partners and other relevant stakeholders withing the community. Conduct on the job training for CHWs. Prepare teams reports as needed and monitor teams’ indicators.
