NQF Level 6/ Advanced diploma/B-Tech Degree in journalism/ marketing/ media studies / Public Relations / Public Administrations. 1 to 2 years’ experience in communications. Knowledge of government procedures and practices, Project Management, Basic marketing, advertising, and communication principles, South African Political environment, Printing knowledge communication skills (Verbal & Written), Planning and organizing, relationship management skills, analytical and thinking skills, problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office packages. MS Office, Written and verbal English, Digital media, Graphic design and Message management and media Planning.
Duties :

To supervise the identification, planning and implementation of integrated and transformative social development programs in partnership with key stake holders for the effective empowerment of human and social capital through a community development approach towards sustainable livelihoods. This will include the undertaking of development programs where workload and complexity is a problem for supervisees. Supervise and support community development practitioners to ensure that there is communication and co-ordination with all relevant role players, internal and external (e.g. in departments/provinces, NGOs, local community structures and faith based organisations) and stakeholders to facilitate intersectoral collaboration, integrated planning and the establishment of partnerships to ensure sustainability of development activities within the community. Assist with the development and implementation of communications plans. Update media database. Ensure coverage of departmental programme and activities. Develop and distribute media advisories. Assist with distribution of media statements. Conduct media follow up Quarterly updating news reporter’s media base. Regular posting safety tips and information’s regarding events. Ensure a number of people are recruited to like and follow our social media platforms.
