Requirements :

  • Grade 12 or Equivalent qualification. Minimum Code C1 drivers’ license and a Professional Driving Permit. Knowledge of road traffic rules. Relevant workshop experience in towing / assessment or mechanics. Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in towing and mechanics. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act. 85 of 1993. Ability to operate electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good Computer skills (MS Office, Software Package Etc.).

Duties :

  • Conduct and manage towing services for g-FleeT vehicles including: Operating a tow truck, safely and securely attach the damaged vehicle to the tow truck for transportation. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while towing the vehicles. Use specialized equipment and techniques to safely retrieve vehicles. Follow set procedures and documentation requirements when registering stolen vehicles. Perform a visual inspection to assess the condition of the vehicle and ensure it is safe for transportation and document any existing damage. Generate reports on accident repairs.
