Grade 12 plus MBCHB degree or equivalent registered with HPCSA (Health Professional Council of South Africa) as an independent practitioner. Proof of annual registration 2023/2024.
Duties :
-
The incumbent will be responsible interview, investigate, diagnose, and oversee the treatment of patients. Supervising junior doctors (undergraduates, students, interns and community service doctors). Attendance of relevant administrative meeting like mortality meeting, near MISS meeting and completing MEDICO legal documents timeously (e.g. death certificate). Improve quality care by providing appropriate
clinical care. Reduce medical litigations by excising good clinical ethos. Implement and monitor adherence to National Core Standards (Norms and standards). Participating in all activities of the discipline in relation to teaching and research. Participate in the multidisciplinary team to the management of patients. Ensure that administration of record keeping is done in the department. Willing to do commuted overtime by rendering services after hours (night, weekend and public holidays) to provide continuous uninterrupted care of patients.
