Requirements :

• National Diploma/ B Tech in Security Risk Management /NQF level 6 or 7 as recognised by SAQA. 3-5 years’ experience in Security Risk Management. Understanding of the MISS and its application. Completion of a SANAI Security Managers Course will be an added advantage. Driver license Code EB/ C1

Duties :

• Implement and maintain the departmental security policy in line with the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS) and National Information Security Policy. Monitor and enhance compliance with all the security policies in the GDED and its agencies. Monitor, make assessments and provide recommendations for improvement on security measures and procedures. Execute, co-ordinate, control and implement security measures. Conduct inspections on any aspects concerning security measures and write reports. Monitor technical security surveillance systems. Identify security systems vulnerabilities to improve on the overall security. Monitor access and egress control Implement security awareness programmes for the GDED and its agencies. Render necessary advice and services to personnel regarding security matters. Advise management and staff on the security implications of their actions and decisions. Liaise with law enforcement agencies regarding security measures as the need arises. Assign duties, responsibilities, supervise individual performance and development. Supervise work carried out by staff. Discipline staff. Manage leave. Respond to audit queries.
