Requirements :

  • Grade 1 Lecturer - Matric/ grade 12 certificate. Degree/Diploma in Nursing. Qualification that allows registration with SANC as a General nurse or midwife, an additional qualification in Nursing Education and Nursing Administration. A minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration as a professional nurse with SANC in general nursing. A nursing Education qualification registered with SANC. A valid Driver’s licence. Computer certificate / Literacy. Certificate/ Proof of registration in Assessor and Moderation. Grade 2 Lecturer - Matric/ grade 12 certificate. Degree/Diploma in Nursing. Qualification that allows registration with SANC as a General nurse or midwife, an additional qualification in Nursing Education and Nursing Administration. A minimum of 14 years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration as professional nurse with SANC in general nursing. At least ten (10) years of the period referred to above must be a recognizable experience in nursing education after completion of one year post basic qualification. A nursing Education qualification registered with SANC. A valid Driver’s licence. Computer certificate / Literacy Skills and Knowledge: Certificate/ Proof of registration in Assessor and Moderation Experience in education programme development and management experience in Nursing Education at a college or a higher education institution must be able to contribute to the paradigm shift in Nursing Education for health service delivery, facilitate efficient service delivery and provide constructive inputs into programme reviews. Analytic assessment and evaluation skills. Computer literacy with data capturing and generation of reports utilizing excel or relevant software solutions and report writing skills. Ability to engage in transformation and respond to the political imperatives of government as it relates to Nursing Education and Training. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure. Relate well to a diversity of personnel and range of stakeholders. Commitment to excellence in Nursing Education, Training and practice. Ability to collate, monitor and evaluate assessment data from multiple sources. A demonstrable commitment to excellence in Nursing Education and Training.

Duties :

  • Support academic and student related processes from the student affairs office. Deliver a student administrative secretarial service. Administer recognition of prior learning processes (RPL). Improve student administration processes through research and projects. Administer information systems in the student Affairs Department. Assure accurate record keeping in the department. Organize and execute the following processes (student admissions, completions, terminations, and transcripts. Organize and execute student selection processes.
