Requirements :

NQF Level 6/7 in Information Technology (IT) or equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA. 3 to 5 years' experience within Enterprise Architect environment
Duties :
-
• Provide technical architecture guidance
• Document existing and proposed systems architectures
• Provider recommendations on best-fit solutions
• Defining, maintaining and communicating domain Business Architecture principles
• Designing, maintaining and communicating the meta-model for Business Architecture
• Translating requirements into a workable, integrated, sustainable Business Architecture solution
• Considering Business Architecture modeling techniques
• Defining Business Architecture repository structure
• Mapping to overall EA framework
• Developing and maintaining Business Architecture standards and guidelines
• Ensuring that Business Architecture standards conform to corporate standards
• Integrating Business Architecture with other domain architectures
• Communicating meta-model changes to all stakeholders
• Developing functional specifications for Business Architecture products
• Defining measurements for Business Architecture progress and quality tracking
• Defining training requirements for Business Architecture
• Constructing of the Business Architecture models
• IT management and decision making - Enterprise architecture is found to help enforce discipline and standardization of IT planning activities and to contribute to reduction in time for technology-related decision making.
• IT value - Enterprise architecture will help to reduce the systems implementation and operational costs and minimize replication of IT infrastructure services across business units.
• IT complexity - Enterprise architecture contributes to reduction in IT complexity, consolidation of data and applications, and to better interoperability of the systems.
• IT openness - Enterprise architecture contributes to more open and responsive IT as reflected through increased accessibility of data for regulatory compliance, and increased transparency of infrastructure changes.
• IT risk management - Enterprise architecture contributes to reduction of business risk from system failures and security breaches. Enterprise architecture helps reduce risks of project delivery.
