Requirements :

Degree / Advanced Diploma in Health Care science at NQF level 7. Three(3) to Five (5) years’ experience in a healthcare environment (hospital/funder) at Assistant Director level in case management. Knowledge of Public Service policies, National Health Act, Public Finance Management Act 1999 (PFMA), Medical Schemes Act, Prescribed Minimum Benefits regulations, Designated Service Provider Network (DSP) and other relevant Public sector prescripts. Excellent understanding of Uniform Patient Fees Schedule (UPFS) and Procedure coding, ICD10 coding, Patient Administration policies and Billing Systems. Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Valid Driver`s License (with exception for persons with disabilities). COMPETENCIES: Strategic capabilities & leadership, Change management skills, Programme and Project management skills, Client Orientation and Customer Focus skills, Financial and Human Resource management skills. Good Communication Skills-verbal and written. Skilled in Research, Policy development, data management, Knowledge management skills, Problem Solving skills and Risk management ,High level report writing skills, planning, negotiation, decision making, organizing, and interpersonal skills .Driver`s license. ATTRIBUTES: Good Interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure. Relate well to a diversity of personnel and range of stakeholders.
Duties :
-
Management of Uniform Patient Fee Schedule policy and tariffs revision. Coordinate and facilitate Case Management Services within the province. Assist hospitals to establish case management. Manage Designated Service Provider Network contracts with medical schemes for Prescribed Minimum Benefits. Management ,Development and Review policy on Patient Administration and billing matters. Manage risk and audit queries within area of work. Management of resources of the directorate.
