Requirements :

• : Grade 12 with appropriate Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification that allows for registration with the SAPC as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic). Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant. Proof of payment for current annual fees. Less than five (5) years’ appropriate experience after registration as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic) with the SAPC. Computer literacy (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, Power-Point) including RX-solution, RDM and SVS. Sound communication skills (both verbal and written). Ekurhuleni Health District Staff that were afforded bursary are encouraged to apply

Duties :

• Receive and record all stock from suppliers. Filling stock cards. Maintenance of electronic stock programme and reporting systems. Cyclic stock counts in both warehouse and dispensary. Provide information to management as required. Validation and dispensing prescriptions. Provide information to clinics and the public. Reconcile medicine parcels and clinic orders for distribution. Participate in bi-annual stock take. Work under direct/ indirect supervision of a pharmacist. Prepacking bulk items into patient ready packs. Storage and distribution of Pharmaceuticals. Perform all duties according to Standard operating procedures. Take part in all pharmaceutical projects and systems. Perform all other duties delegated by Supervisor/ Manager.
