Requirements :

  • Grade 12 Certificate, an appropriate relevant Bachelor’s degree / National Diploma in Nursing. Relevant management qualification will be an added advantage. A minimum of 10 years’ working experience in the health-related field of which five years must be as an Assistant Director. Registration with the relevant professional body. Knowledge and experiential knowledge of working in HIV & AIDS, STI’s, TB. MCHW and non-communicable related programs, regulations and policy work. Understanding the PFMA regulations. A valid driver’s license. Leadership skills, communication skills (written & verbal) and computer skills. Ethical practices and confidentiality. Understanding the current issues and trends in training and development issues amongst health care workers. Knowledge of health-related and finance legislation and policy. Knowledge in management of the CHW courses (Social Counseling and Health Promotion qualifications). COMPETENCIES NEEDED: Ability to develop and manage curricula. Coordination and negotiations skills Project Management Candidate will be subjected to computer skills test. Knowledge of different training methodologies. driver’s licence and ability to drive. Knowledge of policy development and application. A high level of diligence and commitment in ensuring that all duties are performed according to standard, quality and meet the time frames set. An independent critical thinker. An ability to work independently. Ability to work in a team., under pressure and meet set deadlines.

Duties :

  • Responsible for the management of Regional Training Centre management training of HIV, STIs, TB strategy regulations & policies to reduce mortality and morbidity due to HIV, STIs, TB. Provide Prevention Programmes and Strategies. Minimize the impact of HIV, STIs, and TB in the workplace at all levels of employment in the GDOH by facilitating trainings. Strengthening of GDoH Human Resource capacity to deliver capacity building for Health Professionals, care, and management services. Ensuring that supervision monitoring and evaluation of the training programmes and projects. Liaise with other stakeholders such as higher institutions of learning, HSETA, QCTO and DSP. Understanding of HRD strategies and policies. Supporting Health programmes in Curriculum Development. Plan, organize, implement, manage, and monitor activities pertaining to the training, Development and CPD Programme. Management of human, physical and financial resources. Participate according to delegated projects. Coordinate and support the implementation of the Regional Training Centre Business Plans. Participate in the development and management of the internal financial and procurement systems for the Regional Training Centre. Participate in activities for the curriculum development, standardization, and accreditation of all training programme to meet the minimum requirements set by the National Department of Health. Conduct skills audits and training needs analysis. Facilitation of RTC programme, Report writing. Participate in related policy development and review. Develop annual Training plans including CPD training plans. Coordination of training programmes across all districts in Gauteng.
