Requirements :

• Senior certificate/ Grade 12 or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Staff Nurse. Registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nurse. Candidate must have basic communication, computer and writing skills.

Duties :

• Facilitate Training and Mentoring of CHWs. Supervise the CHWs. Allocate and coordinate work of the team. Community engagement: Liaise with the ward councilors and other community structures with regards to community entry. Conduct or support community interventions/campaigns. Community mapping: Allocation of the CHWs per ward based. Facilitate and strengthen upward and downward referral. Administration, Reporting and record keeping. Provide basic clinical nursing care in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards. Demonstrate basic communication with patients, supervisors and colleagues. Maintain professional growth /ethical standards and self- development. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the managers to ensure quality nursing care.
