Requirements :

  • Grade 12 certificate. Degree or Diploma (NQF 6/7)Supply Chain Management/ Finance or equivalent with 3 years of years functional experience in an asset management environment preferably in a hospital setting. Ability to work under pressure. Attention to detail. Ability to interact at a strategic level and implement turnaround strategies. Planning and organizational skills, time management, communication skills and leadership skills. Analytical and solution orientated. Computer literacy (excel and word) BAS/SAP)

Duties :

  • Plan and supervise the assets verification against the assets register. Coordinate and administer fixed assets process (acquisition, movement, transfer and disposal) in the institution. Maintain and update the fixed assets register. Conduct and coordinate the physical asset verification and spot checks. Ensure the implementation of the Asset Management Policy. Monitor compliance with asset management policies and financial control. Manage staff development and performance plans against the achievement of the departmental objectives. Ensure the preparation of monthly reconciliation between the Asset and reports. Supervise the barcode tagging, movement, disposal of assets for the institution. Implement and maintain asset management policies and procedures for the institution. Assist in internal and external audit queries related to Fixed assets. To ensure effective management of assets within the Department according to the Asset Management Strategy and requirement of the PFMA.
