Requirements :

  • Grade 12 Certificate. No experience required. COMPETENCIES: Job related knowledge. Computer Literacy, Basic knowledge of supply chain duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics. Basic knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service. Basic knowledge of work procedures in terms of the working environment. Job related skills: Planning and organising skills, good verbal and written communication skills.

Duties :

  • Render asset management clerical support. Compile and maintain records (e.g. asset records / databases). Conduct annual physical asset verification and distribute asset inventory lists to officials to sign, keep proper records of all signed asset inventory lists. Identify redundant, obsolete and / or unserviceable assets and compile a list for disposal purposes. Barcode newly acquired assets in preparation for capturing into the asset register. Assist in the updating of the asset register. Render support to the Admin Officer with all asset management related activities.
