Requirements :

• Diploma in Nursing (R.171). Degree in Nursing (R.174). Basic R425 qualification i.e. Diploma/Degree in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse. Registration with SANC and current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a General Registered Nurse for 2026. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. Experience working in Mental Health Care Services /Psychiatric units will be an added advantage.

Duties :

• Render nursing services within the scope of practice of a Professional Nurse. Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of the nursing plan (clinical practice/quality patient care). Implement standards, practices, criteria, and indicators for quality nursing (quality of practice). Practice nursing and health care in accordance with the laws and regulations relevant to nursing and health care. Maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders. Utilize human, material, and physical resources efficiently and effectively. Implement and maintain quality assurance standards, ideal hospital framework and norms and standards .Adhere to National , Provincial and Hospital policy guidelines, procedures and standards .Good Communication skills, report writing skills, facilitation skills, co-ordination skills, liaison skills, networking skills, problem solving skills and information management. Knowledge of management and planning and organizing.
