Grade 10, AET level 4, or Equivalent qualification. Must be able to read and write. A minimum of 1 year of hospital experience will be an added advantage. Able to work under pressure. Working shifts, including night shift and public holidays. Knowledge of Labour Relations Processes. Applicants should understand the Batho Pele principles in relation to cleaning department.
Duties :
-
Cleaning of wards, floors, spillages, offices, corridors, boardrooms, windows, doors, benches, and bed wheels, cleaning of staff and patients’ lockers, fridges, toilets, and bathrooms. Kitchens, curtains, and high dusting, and ensure that the cleaning checklist is updated. Collection and returning of food trolleys to the main kitchen. Wash and keep a stock of kitchen utensils. Replace toilet paper, hand towels, and refreshers. Cleaning of machines and equipment after use. Refilling water bottles. Request cleaning materials.
