Requirements :

Grade 10, AET level 4, or Equivalent qualification with three (3) years’ experience in the hospital environment. Ability to work independently and under pressure, and in a changing environment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Be able to work shifts. Interpretations of Government policies.
Duties :
-
Supervision of subordinates. Perform routine tasks in the food service unit. Ensure that the pre-preparation and preparation of food for both normal and therapeutic diets are executed as expected. Ensure that food portion control measures are adhered to. Perform the general cleaning task and maintain hygiene and safety measures in the unit. Operate kitchen machinery. Care and report lost/faulty equipment, as well as any observed risks. Relieve other Supervisors' staff members on request and execute any lawful additional task issued by a supervisory person. Perform Administrative duties in the department, such as ordering food, consumables, and equipment in the food service unit, and undergo food service work-related training. Ensure all staff supervised by you are contracted and monitored as per PMDS policy. Partake in all Audits within the department. Attend meetings and report to the superiors/managers. Periodical inspection of sections.
