Requirements :

BChD or BDS qualification. Current and valid registration with the HPCSA as a dentist in the category: Independent Practice, with a minimum two-years’ experience post community service. Completed Postgraduate Diploma in Maxillofacial Radiology, or M.Sc. in Maxillofacial Radiology. Experience in teaching and learning of undergraduate students with specific clinical supervision in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. The incumbent must have experience in intraoral and extraoral radiology acquisitions and report writing with specific knowledge and experience CBCT. The following will serve as an added advantage: Candidates with a completed Postgraduate Diploma in Maxillofacial Radiology should demonstrate current registration for a master's in Maxillofacial Radiology. Any demonstrated experience in research will be an added advantage.
Duties :
-
Diagnostic Radiography in Oral and Dental Hospital to ensure quality service delivery, radiation protection and dose reduction. Assessing and acquisition of images for patients in the Diagnostic Imaging unit, and other clinical duties as per the need of the institution. Supervision and assessment of undergraduate students in the Diagnostic Imaging unit. Attendance and participation in all departmental meetings including seminars and journal discussions as per the arrangements of the department. Lecturing and clinical supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students as needed in the department. Fulfil duties independently and apply innovative approaches in day-to day work and challenges. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a proficiency test within the discipline.
