Requirements :

• A BChD/BDS degree and currently registered with the HPCSA as a dentist in the category: Independent practice. Minimum of two years' experience as a general dental practitioner after completing community service. Evidence of successful completion of three primary subjects (Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology). Recommendations: A post graduate qualification in Dentistry and/or a Maters in Dentistry (preferably Orthodontics). Research experience and publications. Student teaching and supervision experience.

Duties :

• The candidate will be expected to carry out all responsibilities and requirements necessary for the completion of the MChD degree in orthodontics. The duties include teaching and supervision of undergraduate students, treatments of patients using removable and /or fixed orthodontic appliances, completion of a mini dissertation and other activities that may be assigned by the Head of the Department.
