Minimum Grade 10. Grade 12 will be an added advantage. Relevant and previous exposure in a Food Service Hospital environment will be an advantage. Must have good communication skills (verbal and written), teamwork skills, numeracy and literacy skills. Must be able to do work of a physical nature. Must be reliable and trustworthy. Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays. Applicants should understand Batho Pele Principles in relation to Food Services.
Duties :
-
Perform routine tasks in the Food Service Unit and operate large scale equipment. Maintain general cleaning to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met and maintained in the Unit. Unpacking and packing of provisions into storerooms, cold rooms and freezer. Maintain cleaning of cold rooms, freezer, and storerooms. Preparation, portioning, and distribution of normal and therapeutic diets. Adhere to set policies and guidelines regulating Food Services. Rotate work as a reliever in the Unit.
