A recognised qualification at NQF Level 6/7 in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Public Management, Financial Management, Business Management or a relevant field.
Minimum 10 years’ experience, of which 3-5 years must be at the Assistant Director level. Valid driver’s license. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office package). Knowledge of relevant legislation, PSBC resolutions, and directives. Competencies: Strategic and visionary leadership. Project management and change management. Financial management and budgeting. Diversity and programme management. Report writing skills and ability to analyse and interpret data. Accountability and ethical conduct. Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills. Excellent communication (verbal and written). Client orientation and customer focus. Conflict management and problem-solving.
Duties :
-
Manage overall administration and support departments, including Patient Admin, Mortuary, Security, Facilities Management, Cleaning, Porters, Linen, Communications, Transport, Horticulture, ICT and CSSD services. Manage human resources and promote training and development of staff. Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans, operational plans, and action plans Manage budgets in line with government regulations and monitor compliance with service level agreements. Promote sound labour practices and maintain labour peace through engagement with relevant stakeholders, including organised labour. Provide advice and guidance aligned with the vision, mission, and objectives of the Department. Monitor and ensure effective implementation of departmental policies. Liaise with key stakeholders to advance the interests of the department Ensure the facility is compliant with Occupational Health and Safety and environmental health for staff and users. Promote ethical leadership and governance structures. Monitor infrastructure and maintenance plans and their implementation. Ensure that security protocols and internal control measures are implemented and adhered to.
