Grade 12 (matric) with a Degree or National Diploma (NQF6) in Supply Chain Management/Finance / Logistics/Public Administration as recognised by SAQA; with a minimum of 5 years’ experience of which 3years should be supervisory experience in Supply Chain Management within public hospital environment. A valid driver’s licence (minimum Code B). Knowledge, Skills, Training and Competencies Required: Sound understanding of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, PPPFA, Supply Chain Management guidelines and other related Prescripts. Knowledge of Public Sector Procurement process. Knowledge of Demand Management, contract management, logistics, disposal services, asset management, risk management related to SCM functions. Knowledge of OHS, LRO, BCEA, Ideal hospital and Code of conduct. Good communication and interpersonal relation, planning, organizing, problem solving and report writing skills. Computer literacy (excel and word). Leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work under pressure, be proactive, innovative, honest and have integrity. He/she should also be reliable, show commitment, professionalism and be punctual.
Duties :

Oversee and manage the supply chain and assets functions. Provide resonate leadership and management. Ensure effectiveness and efficiency in implementing SCM policies and procedures. Manage and coordinate the end–to–end RFQ process within 14 working days. Manage and coordinate the full Demand Management function of the institution by compiling, reviewing, analyzing and consolidating procurements in line with operational needs, service delivery priorities and approved budget. Manage Transport department and food services unit. Manage logistics and contract administration services. Manage risk and SCM performance management. Manage the development and implementation of institutional SLA’s. Manage the effective utilization of resources.
