Requirements :

  • BChD or BDS degree, current registration with HPCSA as a Dentist, and a minimum of 3 years clinical practice post community service. Recommendations: Candidates with skills and experience in CAD/CAM technology, clinical teaching and training of undergraduate students in both fixed and removable prosthodontics, evidence of knowledge and application of valid and reliable assessment methods, a record of research experience and any additional qualifications in prosthodontics, will be an advantage.

Duties :

  • The successful candidate will be expected to carry out clinical and didactic teaching to undergraduate students in fixed and removable prosthodontics, to co-ordinate and oversee the prosthodontics programme of a specified year of UG study, including lecturing, help with staff rosters, clinical supervision, setting and evaluation of the final clinical and theory examinations, rendering of treatment to patients, engage in individual and departmental research activities, specific administrative duties as agreed upon with the Head of Department and undertaking research.
