Requirements :

  • Grade 12 or equivalent. Knowledge of PFMA, treasury regulations, SCM policies, procurement delegation and Asset Management policy. Computer literate, good telephone etiquette, communication skills and customer service. Understand of reconciliation. 1 years’ experience in Asset Management will be an added advantage. Competencies: Good verbal and written communication, good numeracy skills and strong relations. Experience in a hospital environment will be an added advantage.

Duties :

  • Asset Clerk will be responsible for maintaining the Asset registers. through the input of information, e.g. additions, movement and disposals. Monitoring the movements and transfer of assets. Ensure that Supporting Registers are done monthly between (electronic asset system) now using spreadsheet and BAS. End users inform the Asset Clerk of assets that need to be disposed. Asset Clerk identify assets to be disposed in the Wards. Responsible for collections of disposals and typing the disposals for assets. Updating all supporting registers e.g. donations, maintenance and suspense/loss control register, etc. Updating of Reconciliation file for review monthly, To keep record of all items sent in and out of the hospital, and to keep track and do follow ups on assets that have been sent out for repair and service (external)Perform Asset verification accordingly, (manual).The physical verification must be performed by physical writing the asset barcode attached to an asset.
