Grade 12(matric) / NQF level 4 certificate and a Degree (NQF level 7) in Financial Management.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Finance field, of which 3 years must be at a supervisory level in Finance (level
7/8). (Preferably in public sector). Valid Driver’s License. Ability to work under pressure and long hours. Presentation
skills. Report writing skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge and experience in BAS, SAP, SRM and Persal. Thorough knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations
and financial policies and procedures. Must be computer literate (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Candidates must have work experience in Budget processes, Reporting and Accounts Payable. Sound accounting
skills.
Duties :

Implement effective and efficient Management of Accounts Receivable. Implement effective and efficient management of state monies. Implement effective and efficient General Ledger Management. Expenditure management and Journals. Debt management and Suspense accounts. Ensure timeous Submission of monthly returns, quarterly and in year monitoring reports. Compile high quality financial reports for the CEO. Present monthly, quarterly and annual budget/expenditure reports to senior management. Identity risks and institute control measures to minimize financial risks. Authorize transactions on BAS and ensure payment of suppliers. Conduct internal audit within SCM, Revenue and Expenditure Control section. Ensure the effective, efficient, and economic management of allocated resources. Develop, guide and nurture staff to enable mature and accountable financial managers. Implement effective and efficient revenue strategies. Ensure writing off old accounts in terms of age analysis. Oversee and manage the overall performance of the finance section (Budget, accounts payments, revenue collection, internal financial control), Coordinate processes to ensure compliance with supply chain policies, PFMA and financial regulations, as well as Treasury instructions to achieve effective and efficient corporate governance. Analyze, interpret and report on relevant financial and performance data on finance. Accurate and timeous preparation of report. Compile Interim Annual Financial Statements (IAFS). Monitor overall budget and expenditure patterns. Monitoring of revenue collection in line with the projections for quarterly targets.
