Requirements :

  • Minimum of Grade 10-12 or equivalent (ABET). No experience required. Experience in physical labour will be an added advantage, ability to liaise with all stakeholders. Knowledge: of working procedure in a laundry working environment. Knowledge of government policies. Must be physically and mentally fit. Must be able to read, write and Team player. Should have good interpersonal skills Be prepared to do physical labour. It is a legal requirement that employees wear protective clothing. Willing work shifts.

Duties :

  • Sorting, Counting, folding and ironing of Linen (Clean and soiled). Off-loading of trucks (soiled linen) and loading of clean linen. Counting bags for clean and soiled linen. Delievery of clean linen to hospitals. Willing to rotate. Preparation of linen for ironing department. keeping of the laundry environment and working area's by following standard procedures. Perform any other duties as delegated. Ensure occupational health and safety is observed.
