Requirements :

  • Grade 10 with 3 years’ laundry experience or Grade12 with 1-year laundry experience. Must be able to read and write. Good interpersonal relations Communication skills. Computer literacy will be an advantage. Previous laundry experience. “Flexibility to work night shifts is required.”

Duties :

  • Monitoring of the water level, air pressure and steam supply, before Operating the CBW (industrial laundry machinery). The mixing of chemicals used in the washing process. Inspection, monitors, operate, routinely maintain clean, program and adjust equipment. Load and weigh linen on scale. Clean all filters. Report all dysfunctions to supervisor. Responsible for quality and safety control entering the washing machine if a blockage occurs and opens it. Keep statistics of production figures. Responsible for formal and informal training of operators. Apply prescribed safety and precautionary measures. Do any other tasks as per departmental need. Keeping your workplace clean and wearing PPE. Must be able to work with all sorts(type) of linen. You will be tested after the interview is done on the CBW.
