Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) recognised by SAQA in Information Technology / Computer Science / Informatics or a related field. Four (4) to five (5) years’ experience in an ICT environment providing systems and application development services.Knowledge: Systems development methodologies and tools, object oriented programming concepts, enterprise and multi tier system architectures, and system integration techniques. Strong knowledge of PHP and C# development, web based systems, and Microsoft technologies, including .NET Framework / .NET Core, ASP.NET, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server. Knowledge of web services (REST/SOAP), APIs, and database driven systems. Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), version control systems, and deployment practices. Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles including Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management. Knowledge of ITIL, information security principles, Batho Pele Principles, Departmental Procedures and Processes, PFMA, BCEA, LRA, EEA, PSA, PSR, and Treasury Regulations.Skills: Systems analysis and design, application and systems development using PHP, C# and Microsoft development tools, system integration, database design and optimisation, and software testing (unit, integration and user acceptance testing). Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation including system architecture diagrams, ERDs and data flow diagrams. Proficiency in Microsoft development environments and tools such as Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Azure DevOps, and related Microsoft platforms. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, effective communication, time management, planning and organising skills.
Duties :

Analyse user and business requirements and translate them into technical system specifications. Design, develop, test, implement and maintain systems and applications using PHP, C# and Microsoft based platforms, in accordance with approved standards and best practices. Provide technical support and maintenance of systems and applications. Participate in system integration, upgrades and enhancements. Develop and maintain technical documentation. Ensure compliance with ICT governance frameworks, security standards and departmental policies.
