Requirements :

  • A relevant 4-year degree or equivalent with Occupational Hygiene as a major (NQF 7). A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession as an Occupational Hygienist. 5 years’ must be appropriate experience in management will be add advantage. Registration: Must be SAIOH Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) or registered with HPCSA as an Environmental Health Practitioner. Knowledge: Knowledge of South African occupational health and safety laws (Mine Health and Safety Act, OHS Act). Advantage: Knowledge of Project Management and expertise in integrated quality management system (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001). Other: Must be a South African citizen and possess a Driver’s License.

Duties :

  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of direct reports. Perform occupational hygiene surveys, field visits, and inspections. Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS). Prepare and sign off technically correct reports. Interpret analytical results and contribute to making appropriate recommendations. Responsible for performance contracting and management of resources. Responsible for training resources.
