Requirements :

• BChD or equivalent qualification. Registration with the HPCSA as a Dentist in the category of independent practice. At least 3 years' experience post Community Service. Postgraduate qualification in Endodontics. At least three years' experience in teaching and training students. Candidates must submit a portfolio with three specialized endodontic cases. Experience in dental research will be an added advantage.

Duties :

• Teaching and training of students in Endodontics, Dental Materials,Basic Restorative Dentistry, and Paedodontics. Supervising students in the clinical wards of the Department of Odontology. You will also be required to complete a Master's degree (if you don't have one). You will be required to conduct research and publish at least one article per year in an ISI Journal. Selective clinical duties will be assigned to the candidates as deemed appropriate by the Head of the Department. This may include managing and treating patients with special health care needs.
