Basic qualification accredited with SANC in terms of Government Notice R425 (i.e. diploma/ degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse. A Qualification in Nursing Administration or Health Service Management of at least 1 year duration and is registered as such by Council. A minimum of eight (7) years’ experience appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Two (2) years ‘experience must be directly in the Clinical Vertical Transmission Programme environment including working with the Community-Based Organisations, Non-Profit Organisation and WBPHCOT, ART initiation and patient HIV management will be an added advantage. NIMART Training Certificate and Valid Driver’s license is essential. Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the National HIV,TB, RTCQI, PrEP, PEP,EPI,IMCI STI and ART Programme and the VTP guidelines including the Public Finance Management Act . Knowledge of Quality Improvement and M&E implementation approaches/strategies and plans. Experience/knowledge in working with TIER.NET, DHIS and/or other National, routine health information systems and knowledge of DHIMS Policy. Analytical thinking verbal and written communication skills. Planning and organizing skills. Presentation, facilitation, and people management skills (Batho Pele principles). Conflict management. Good interpersonal relations and communication skills. Supervision and control of subordinates. Excellent data management skills.
Duties :

Facilitate effective collaboration with all Stakeholders and District Management teams in executing Vertical Transmission facility, sub district and community-based activities. Implementation of HAST strategy, plan in line with the 95,95,95 TB and HIV strategy. Provide technical and clinical support on PMTCT/VTP linkage activities including technical support on EID and down referrals from hospitals and CHCs. Offer direct and indirect staff training on DBS and monitor data capturing on all sources of data for reporting purposes the work plans including being part of the multidisciplinary staff training, facilitation of community linkages, adherence support, patient/service flow analysis, and the contribute to the dissemination of the new guidelines, policies, and protocols. Support and monitor linkages to care, especially for EID linkages to care to health facilities, monitor ANC and delivery maternal viral load tests done including infants PCR test and positive until 18 months. Monitor and follow up all reported PCR test and provide analytical report including the outcomes of the mother mentor activities and QIPs on data generated. Work closely with the M&E team to review facility and sub district data and provide feedback to health facilities and sub districts. Implementation of the strategic interventions of improving the Vertical Transmission Programme management. Collaborate and facilitate the development of the Provincial Business plan. Effective monitoring and ensure that resources are adequately allocated at all levels. Maintain professional relationships with all relevant stakeholders. Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Liaise with Districts, relevant sectors, stakeholders, civil society, MCHWN programme, faith-based organisations, traditional practioners and ward-based structures. Liaise with Local Government, different levels of health, community structures to improve service delivery. Perform all other duties delegated by the supervisor/manager.Take part in the Gauteng Province Turnaround Strategy, Primary Heath care engineering. Display High level of organizational, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
