A Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. No experience required. Knowledge: A limited range of work procedures and elementary clerical duties such as Information Communication Technology procedures relating to call centre working environment including norms and standards, Statistics. Skills: Planning and organising skills, Customer Care skills, Telephone skills, Problem Solving skills, Mathematical skills and Computer Literacy (Microsoft Package Interpersonal skills and Typing skills. The following will be an added advantage: National Higher Certificate in ICT or Call Centre qualification from a recognised accredited Department of Higher Education and Training tertiary institution. Switchboard operator or call centre agent experience. Computer Certificate from a recognised accredited Department of Higher Education and Training tertiary institutions. Knowledge of Batho Pele principles and Six Ministerial priorities. Please note that shift work (working public holidays & weekends) and staff rotation is compulsory.
Duties :
-
Answer and transfer incoming calls in a timely manner using an updated telephone list. Monitor calls and give feedback to clients. Maintain a well up to date extension numbers, records of doctors and nurses call list. Continuously update the telephone directory. Ensure that emergency and high priority calls are attended to timely and directed to relevant business units by use of SMS, paging and emails. Assist in troubleshooting Telephones and PABX issues. Provide relevant information to clients using reference files, assist with general administration and provide disaster management service. Comply with the Performance Management and Development System.
