Requirements :

• Qualification that allows registration with SANC as Nursing Assistant. Be currently registered with SANC as Nursing Assistant (2026 receipt). Experience in nursing after registration with SANC as Nursing Assistant. Demonstrate basic communication with patients, supervisors and other clinicians. Display concern for patients, promoting advocacy and facilitating proper treatment and care including awareness and willingness to respond to patients' needs, requirements and expectations (Batho Pele Principles). Knowledge of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical practices.

Duties :

• Assist and support patients with activities of daily living (physical care) and self-care. Provide elementary nursing care in accordance with the scope of practice. Practice nursing and health care in accordance with the laws and regulations relevant to nursing and health care. Provide health education to patients, family and community to promote health. Maintain constructive working relationships with nursing and other stakeholders. Utilize material and physical resources efficiently and effectively. Work as part of multi-disciplinary team to ensure good nursing care. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Implement and promote Quality Assurance, Infection Prevention and Control and Occupational Health and Safety principles.

Candidates in possession of a foreign qualification will be required to furnish the Department with an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). HR will conduct Personnel Suitability Checks (PSC) and Verification Checks. The Department reserve the right to conduct verification beyond information provided, where necessary. Failure to submit all the relevant information mentioned above with the exception of HR verification checks, will result in the candidate being disqualify.
