Grade 12 (Matric) certificate. Computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel).
COMPETENCIES/KNOWLEDGE: Good verbal & written communication. Have good interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of Supply Chain Management or Asset Management processes is an advantage.
Duties :
-
Asset Verification & Tracking: Assisting with physical verification of assets (mapping, scanning, and identifying) to update the asset register. Barcoding & Register Maintenance: Ensuring all new assets are properly barcoded, logged, and recorded in the system.
Asset Disposal Support: Assisting with the identification, storage, and disposal of redundant, obsolete, or broken furniture and equipment.
Stock Control & Logistics: Assisting with receiving, issuing, and moving equipment within the department.
Loss Control Assistance: Reporting damaged or missing items and helping with the administration of theft/loss cases.
Compliance: Ensuring assets are handled in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and departmental policies.
