AET Level 4 (standard 7 or Grade 9 report)-Grade 12 with minimum of three years driving experience. Valid code 10 (C1) drivers’ license and valid PDP. Ability to work under pressure and as a team be able to work independently. Must be able to read and write good communication and interpersonal skills. Be prepared to work shifts and on public holidays. Must also be able to drive and operate the Dental mobile.
Duties :
-
Execute all authorized transportation trips of dental consumables, staff, documents, and other requirements to and from various destinations and clinics. Collect stock from Pretoria dental stores and deliver to the clinics. Ensure that the post is collected from the district office and delivered to the clinics. Collect medication from pharmacy, stationery and goods from depot for delivery to relevant clinics as per VA2. Check stock, invoices, VA2 and complete trip authority. Check the condition of the vehicle and the level of oil, fuel, water, and tyres always before driving a vehicle. Report minor and major accident defects on vehicles to the Supervisor or Manager immediately. Always comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Acts prescripts and procedures. Attend to enquiries in a professional manner; give guidance and advice when required. Promote proper handling, safekeeping and control of government vehicles and accessories always. Ensure that your driver’s licence and PDP are always valid and in your possession. Keep the state vehicles always clean and tidy. Knowledge of transport policies and good understanding of Government Fleet. Perform any general work assigned to you by your supervisor and or Manager.
