Requirements :

  • 3-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6/7) in Public Management/Administration/Business Management/Facilities Management/Property Management or any recognized Built Environment qualification (Electrical/Building/Mechanical). Valid Driver’s License code 8 (EB) or 10 (C1). Knowledge and understanding of Legislative framework governing the Public Service, PFMA, OHS Act, Regulations and Project Management Principles. Relevant experience: 2-3 years’ experience in the Facilities Environment.

Duties :

  • Facilitate the provision of facilities maintenance in compliance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Environmental standards, and regulations: Identify risk areas of g-Fleet’s buildings and other physical facilities that require refurbishment and / or maintenance, Conduct Condition Assessments for all g-Fleet buildings, implement preventative maintenance schedule, Assist in the development of emergency evacuation procedures for buildings, Coordinate and verify maintenance plans for buildings, Coordinate the implementation of maintenance plans in line with Facilities Management processes, Facilitate furniture and fixture requirements for buildings, Ensure sound maintenance of grounds and buildings. Coordinate maintenance and refurbishment projects: Coordinate and facilitate maintenance and refurbishment projects, implement project plan principles and check the progression refurbishment and maintenance projects, Liaise with the relevant stakeholders for the refurbishments and maintenance work. Provide administration support services: Provide administration for maintenance/ refurbishment projects, Compile project specifications procurement request, specifications, and submissions for all relevant maintenance projects, Compile minutes during facilities meetings and maintain records of all meetings, maintain sound record keeping of all electronic and physical documentation, compile all relevant required weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports including project reporting as required. Supervise staff: Supervise staff performance and development plans, supervise staff leave plans, provide units reports, Distribute and allocate work to staff.
