Grade 12 plus an appropriate qualification that allows registration as an independent Practitioner. No experience required after registration as a Medical Registrar. Must have completed Post Community Service. Registration with HPCSA for the financial year 2025/26. Registrars will be rotated between institutions. The following will be added advantages: Work experience in the field of Paediatrics.; CMSA part 1 examinations; auxiliary courses relevant to the field of Paediatrics.
Duties :
-
Render clinical services in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, show academic progression, and complete a research dissertation within the four-year contract. Offer patient care to inpatients and outpatients in the department as per rotation at the various hospitals in the cluster. Involved in consultations from all departments of SBAH at the registrar level. Supervise all rotating pre-graduate students, interns and junior colleagues in clinical practice. Rotation to subspecialties and facilities accredited by the University of Pretoria.

These positions will be joint appointments between the Gauteng Department of Health and the following academic institutions: University of Witwatersrand /University of Pretoria and/ Sefako Makgatho University.
