Requirements :

  • Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) or relevant qualification as recognised by SAQA. 0-12 months experience in administration field. A valid driver’s license will serve as an added advantage. COMPETENCIES: Planning and organizing, Initiative Service delivery, Report writing skill, Verbal and Written communication skills.

Duties :

  • To manage the administration for Government Garage, Departmental vehicles in Johannesburg. Processing of applications for participation in the subsidised vehicles Scheme A, processing of payment of petrol claims, checking of official data for processed payment, keep statistic of monthly expenditure on each vehicle, act as a liaison person between officers and service providers, Provision of information required and checking the accuracy of documents then forward documents for withdrawal from participation in the subsidised vehicle Scheme A. Booking of vehicles as per request received, updating of vehicle on Electronic log sheet system, issuing of vehicles to officials, making sure that vehicles are clean, inspection of vehicles in the morning and afternoon when they arrive, records keeping of documents in the office, inspection of safe keeping of Government and Departmental vehicles, processing of accident report, compiling monthly maintenance report of vehicles, test – driving of officials before they could be granted authority to drive Government vehicles, collection of licence disk and petrol cards, bookings of service and taking Government and Departmental vehicles in for service, responding to emergencies and rescuing staff members involved in the emergency, trouble – shooting, e.g. kick-starting/jumping of flat batteries and replacing dead ones, replacing of flat tyres.
