Requirements :

• A Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) / Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD) or equivalent. Registration with HPCSA as Dentist in category Independent Practice. Two years’ experience as a Dentist excluding Community Service. Proof of completed primary subjects is a prerequisite for the post. Applicants must have proven interest within the relevant discipline. An MSc degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the specialty will be an added advantage.

Duties :

• Incumbents will follow a course of study which on successful completion will entitle the graduate to register with HPCSA as a specialist in Orthodontics. Training will involve treatment of variety of patients in oral and craniofacial rehabilitation, writing and presentation of seminars on academic topics, carry out and present a research report (and publication thereafter), assist with training of undergraduate students and involvement in the administrative duties of the department.
