Grade 12 plus an appropriate qualification that allows registration as an independent Practitioner. No experience required after registration as a Medical Registrar. Must have completed Post Community Service. Registration with HPCSA for the financial year 2025/26. The successful candidates will be rotated between institutions. The following will be added advantages: Work experience in the field of Family Medicine.; CMSA part 1 examinations; auxiliary courses relevant to the field of Family Medicine.
Duties :

The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering clinical services at Primary Health facilities in line with the specific training curriculum of the Family medicine department. This will include assessment and treatment of patients and supervision of undergraduate MBCHB students. The Registrar is expected to perform related administrative duties, participate in all activities of Family Medicine which relate to teaching and research. S/he will participate in departmental audit activities and write reports. The Registrars will be rotated at various hospital complexes in their specific outreach programs in line with the departmental curriculum of the University, including community health care centres and clinics. Perform any other related functions as required by the Clinical Facility Managers . The successful candidate will be required to work longer hours ( at night, weekend and public holidays) duties to provide continuous uninterrupted care of patients.

Registrars will be required to rotate between the different institutions. Preference will be given to South African citizens. The performance of normal and commuted overtime is not mandatory, however it will be based on the operational needs of the hospitals.
