Requirements :

• MBChB or a relevant qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner. Registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner current annual registration. Grade 1 no experience after registration as Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA in respect of South African qualified employees. Grade 2 minimum of 5 years appropriate experience as Medical Practitioner after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner in respect of South African qualified employees. Grade 3 minimum of 10 years appropriate experience as a Medical Practitioner after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner in respect of South African qualified employees. Advanced Trauma Life Support, Basic Surgical Skills and Primaries will be an added advantage.

Duties :

• To provide efficient and effective clinical care within the provision of tertiary hospital service package. To provide optimum quality health care to patients: perform therapeutic management duties. To attend to in-patients, outpatients and casualty responsibilities. To promote and provide palliative care. To refer patients to appropriate level of care. Guide, support and supervise junior staff towards management of patients. Ensure compliance to all relevant legislation, policies and protocols and proper record keeping. Work as a team with all staff. To perform commuted overtime in order to provide a 24hr clinical service.
