Requirements :

• Qualifications that allows registration with South African Nursing Council as Enrolled Nursing Assistant. Current registration with South African Nursing Council as Enrolled Nursing Assistant. Knowledge of nursing care processes, procedures, nursing statutes and other relevant legal principles. Basic communication skills, elementary writing skills, ability to as part of a team and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles and Patients’ Rights Charter. Must be prepared to work shifts including night duty, weekends and public holidays.

Duties :

• Assist patients with activities of daily living. Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self – development. Maintain hygiene of patients. Provide nutrition. Assist with elimination process. Measure, interpret and record vital signs. Operate all relevant apparatus and equipment. Assist Professional nurses with clinical procedures. Preparation of patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures. Maintain the code of conduct as required in the Public Service. Perform all other duties delegated by Supervisor/Manager within scope of practise.
