Requirements :

  • Valid Degree in Occupational Therapist and must be registered with HPCSA as Occupational Therapist. Must have completed community service in OT. Must be computer literate. Willing to work under pressure.

Duties :

  • Attend scheduled ward rounds and meetings. Assessment of all referred clients (both physical rehabilitation and mental health rehabilitation) in the allocated areas of work. Execution of appropriate treatment and issuing of assistive devices. Referral of clients to next level of care. Implement occupational therapy standards for facilities, service delivery and training for all levels of care in line with occupational therapy standards. Assess patients for assistive devices and reasonable accommodation and complete relevant documentation. Implementation of policies, guidelines and protocols in sections for/related to occupational therapy services. Communication with relevant stakeholders. Comply with standards and ethical requirements as set out by the HPCSA.
