Requirements :

  • The minimum requirement is Grade 10. Relevant experience will be an added advantage. Interpersonal relationship skills and telephone etiquette. Must be willing to work shifts, public holidays and under pressure. Sound knowledge of Customer care Batho Pele Principles. Preference will be given to EPWP trainees, COVID-19 participants, and administrative interns who served and are still serving the Department according to Personnel Circular Letter 4 of 2017.

Duties :

  • Updating of mortuary register, Management of corpses claimed for burial or cremation in line with administrative procedure manual Monitoring corpses collected by undertakers removing corpses from fridge for family and undertakers. Strengthen measures for tracing the deceased families. Collect patient files from the wards. Ensure that the mortuary is clean. Ensure that working equipment is in good condition. Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control and Occupational Health and Safety regulations. To be involved with administrative procedures of the mortuary and to adhere to correct protocols when dealing with public and bereaved families. Ensure that the environment is clean.
