Requirements :

  • Appropriate qualification (Degree) that allows registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Practitioner. Current registration with HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist. Three (03) years’ experience in Occupational Therapy post community service. Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook). Working knowledge of quality assurance measures and performance management system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to interact with the OT and multidisciplinary team. Exhibit leadership and management skills.

Duties :

  • Render an Occupational therapy service in allocated area of work that complies with the standards and norms as indicated by Health Policies in the Psychiatric and Physical fields. Participate in administration and quality assurance tasks according to norms. Identify and report on risks. Facilitate and participate in student training. Participate in and facilitate professional and generic development programs of yourself and subordinates. Assist in management of the department on request.
