Requirements :

A relevant qualification in the Radiography-related field. Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management position. Post-graduates will be added advantage. Proven leadership and strategic management capabilities. Knowledge of public sector policies, regulations, and service delivery frameworks. Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills. A valid Driver’s Licence (with exception for persons with disabilities). Computer literacy.
Duties :
-
Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of radiography policies across Gauteng. Ensure effective data governance and utilization for policy and service improvement. Conduct and support research initiatives to inform policy and practice. Provide strategic oversight for Sub-directorate (Diagnostic Radiography, Sonography, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, Medical Physics, Clinical Technology, and Medical Biology Scientist. Ensure compliance with national and provincial regulatory standards. Support and guide radiography staff to maintain high service quality and patient safety. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance radiography service delivery. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in radiography practices. Integrate radiography services within district health services, including sonography and mammogram services. Assist in the management and coordination of Medical Physicists, Clinical Technologists, and Medical Biological Scientists. Manage financial and contract obligations related to radiography services. Oversee quality assurance programs to ensure service excellence. Lead capacity building initiatives for radiography professionals.
