Requirements :

  • Diploma or Degree that allows registration with the HPCSA as Radiographer. Registration with the HPCSA as an independent Radiographer in Radiation Oncology. Knowledge, skills, training and competencies: knowledge of radiotherapy standard techniques, protocols, equipment and accessories associated with relevant techniques and including specialized techniques. Knowledge of basic quality assurance in Radiotherapy, radiation effects and Radiation protection patients. Must be computer literate.

Duties :

  • Undertakes all basic radiation planning and treatment preparation. Treats all patients according to departmental protocols based on local and international research. Participates in academic activities. Responsible for localization planning and accurate delivery of radiation treatment to patients’ wit neo-plasms. Provides physical and emotional support of patients. Conducts Daily and weekly quality assurance. Performs administrative duties. Assists students during clinical work to develop radiography skills.
