Requirements :

• Matric plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) or equivalent South African Qualification Authority qualification in public administration/business administration/or any professional qualification in one or more areas of relevant professional knowledge pertaining to this position. Any higher qualification will be an added advantage. • At least 3-5 years’ experience in the provision of project administrative and management support. • 3 years management experience. Valid drivers licence

Duties :

• • To lead and manage an inclusive public participation and drive sustainable community development projects that link communities and adjacent game reserve to local economic opportunities, to alleviate poverty, and ensure communities benefit from the biodiversity economy. • Provide strategic direction and leadership. • Management of sub-programme work – Ensure delivery as per business plan and work plan; Plan and implement skills development and training projects; Plan and implement community projects; Stakeholder management, including public meetings; Facilitate tourism institution arrangements Promote use of brand and enforce compliance with brand policies; Ensure planning, scheduling, evaluating etc.; Ensure work is carried out according to quality standards; Overseeing strategic projects • Lead planning process (strategy, business planning and budgeting) • Management of Human Resources • Management of Financial Resources – • Sign off on work, as per delegated authority • Management of Administrative Systems • Coordination with other sub-programmes on joint work • Coordination with other departments on project work.
